Heartworm Prevention

Reese to look at copy from a Mosaic perspective.

At Mosaic at St. Hubert’s, we educate pet owners about heartworm disease. This life-threatening condition, caused by a parasitic worm, is transmitted through mosquitoes and can damage your pet’s heart and other organs.

Preventative medications are the best way to prevent your pet from contracting heartworm disease. We recommend giving your dog heartworm prevention every month.  These medications also have the benefit of preventing some gastrointestinal parasites. We’ll test your pet each year for heartworm disease to confirm they did not contract the disease and ensure it’s safe to continue their preventative. This measure protects your pet and every animal they meet from getting this life-threatening disease.
